Schools around the Capital Region put their science and math skills to the test Saturday.
They competed in the National Science Bowl Regional Qualifiers at General Electric’s Research Center in Niskayuna.
Students were faced with a variety of questions and others participated in the annual model car races.
“The students are absolutely brilliant, absolutely amazing, wonderful sportsmanship. I can’t answer half of the questions they do, I’m just amazed at how well they’ve prepared for this and how knowledgeable and good spirited they are,” said David Tomik, advisor engineer at Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory.
Students from Bethlehem High School and Iroquois Middle School will travel to Washington D.C. for the finals starting on April 25th.
