ROTTERDAM, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The New York State Public High School Athletic Association is waiving certain rules to enable high schools across the state to finish athletic seasons on time.

The rule, which bars teams from practicing or playing seven days in a row, was waived allowing schools to make games up on Sundays.

Schalmont High School has had to postpone dozens of games, matches and meets this season as a result of the abnormally wet weather.

Many have said this is the worst spring season for sports in recent years.
