Green Light Law lawsuit put on hold

TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A local county was forced to hit the brakes on their challenge to the Green Light Law as a similar complaint moves forward elsewhere in the state.

Rensselear County’s lawsuit objects to the law, which allows undocumented immigrants to get New York State driver’s licenses. It’s set to go into effect in December.

But Rensselear County’s lawsuit is on hold as a similar one in Erie County moves forward.
