11-year-old Josh Cudzey was honored with the “Citizen of the Month” title after helping a stranger cross the street. Cudzey says he saw the man struggling to push himself across the street in his wheelchair, and just had to jump out of his mother’s car to lend a hand.
Today, Cudzey helped flipped the switch on the holiday lights in the Times Union Center Atrium after Dan McCoy shared his story with the crowd.
Cudzey told News10 he hopes his story creates a ripple effect and inspires kids all over the capital region to help others when they can.
“There’s more people like that in the world,” Cudzey said. “And it’s not just here. It’s everywhere. And if more kids can help, that could set examples for other kids and it could just spread.”
