A tractor-trailer stuck under the Glenridge Road Bridge could cause some traffic delays Tuesday morning.
After six hours of cleanup, Glenridge Road is now back open to traffic. Despite signs clearly marking the Glenridge Road Bridge as a 10-foot bridge, a 13-foot-high tractor-trailer plowed right through, ripping off the top of the truck and scattering debris into the road.
According to 511NY, the incident occurred around 10:34 p.m. Monday. A portion of Glenridge Road was closed during the cleanup process.
Workers say the process to clear the road and remove the tractor-trailer was complicated, involving a number of pieces of machinery.
Workers say the truck was hauling bottled water, which needed to moved into a new truck.
Fortunately, no one was injured in the accident.
A similar incident occurred just two weeks earlier.
