In the past week, Fulton County lost one of its ambulance services because of financial issues.
Now about 60 employees are left without a job. Since Friday, county administration has put together a plan to fill the gap.
“We have one dispatch center for all of emergency services. That dispatch center is out of the county operations center. They have a routine now as to which agency is going to be primarily dispatched, and which one will go second if that agency is somewhere else operating,” said Jon Stead, of the Fulton County Administrative office.
Although calls seemed to be up Monday, county officials believe they are fully prepared for what the snow may bring.
