ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – The first ever PRIDE flag will fly outside of the SUNY System Administration Plaza beginning on Tuesday.
The PRIDE flag will support the LGBTQI+ community during the month of June.
“SUNY is proud to support the LGBTQI+ community and celebrate its impact on our society,” said SUNY Chancellor Johnson. “This is also a time to recognize the progress made by our state in securing equal rights for all people, as well as reflect on the momentum gained for the PRIDE movement 50 years since Stonewall.”
In total, SUNY serves 1.4 million students across 64 college and university campuses across the state.
