Firefighters honored for actions during 787 crash


TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The firefighters who helped save the man trapped under a tractor trailer after a crash last week were honored by the Troy City Council.

To start Thursday’s meeting, President Carmella Mantello honored those who helped cut Jelani Reyes-Craig out of his car after it was crushed during the crash.

Around 12 firefighters and the chief were recognized with certificates for their heroic actions.
