A local firefighter recovering from a near-fatal infection was discharged from the hospital on Wednesday.
Josh Woodward will now spend the next few weeks at a rehabilitation center after battling sepsis, a blood infection.
His wife, Chelsea, said he is still dealing with a lot of pain after more than half-a-dozen surgeries, including losing a hand and several toes.
When he was first diagnosed, Woodward was given a five percent chance to live.
Chelsea said, although there is still a long way to go, his release from the hospital is a huge step forward.
