TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — During a press conference held Tuesday, Lt. Governor Kathy Hochul announced funding for 15 projects in Troy.

The announcement was a part of Governor Cuomo’s $25 million Empire State Poverty Reduction Initiative, which will provide nearly $600,000 to 10 organizations to create opportunities in the Hillside North and North Central communities.

Some of those organizations include the Boys and Girls Club which will receive $32,000, as well as $25,000 to the Arts Center of the Capital Region for community art projects.

The hope is to see a big change in a short period of time.
