It’s National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day and various agencies will be partnering with the Drug Enforcement Administration to ensure drugs don’t fall into the wrong hands.
From 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., local agencies will be collecting old or unused medications in an effort to prevent pill abuse and addiction, or theft of these drugs.
There is no paperwork required, just drop off and go, however the collection includes only unused or expired medications for safe disposal. It does not include the collection of illicit drugs, needles, sharps, or liquids.
