Dog found in Troy responding well to treatment

TROY, N.Y (NEWS10) - Officials say an emaciated dog found in Troy last week is responding well to treatment.

Police are continuing their investigation into who the owner may be.

The dog, which is severely underweight, is being cared for by a local vet who says the animal is expected to make a full recovery.

The New York State Humane Association is offering a $1,000 reward for anyone who provides information that leads to an arrest.

Police are receiving lots of calls from people wanting to adopt the dog, but they say they would rather hear from those who can help identify the dog's owner and to fill them in on the circumstances leading up to the dog being so badly malnourished. They are asking anyone with information to contact them at (518)-270-4430.
