Correctional officers to begin packing donations for Hurricane Florence victims

COXSACKIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) - Local correctional officers are packing two tractor-trailers full of food and supplies to help victims of Hurricane Florence.

The relief effort was organized by retired corrections officer Steve Humphrey whose own home was destroyed by Hurricane Irene in 2011.

There are four drop-off locations for anyone who'd like to donate any non-perishable food and supplies, other than clothing and furniture.

  • Albany Police Department Headquarters
  • Coxsackie Correctional Facility
  • Lenny's Tire Service in Middleburgh
  • Second Hand Rose in Middleburgh

Donations can be dropped off until the two tractor-trailers are full and ready to send to North Carolina.
