SOUTH GLENS FALLS, N.Y. (NEWS10) Common Roots, the local brewing company destroyed in a recent fire in South Glens Falls will soon be back serving up local brews thanks to a new temporary brew site and taproom.
The temporary location located at 30 Saratoga Avenue in South Glens Falls is just two blocks away from their original brewery site.
Common Roots says the new location means they will soon be back to serving up fresh beer to their customers and near-term work for their brewery and taproom staff.
From the bottom of our hearts, we cannot thank you enough for the support you have shown us over the last two weeks. You have encouraged us to push forward and we will forever be grateful for the kind messages, warm hugs, and an overwhelming sense of community.
Common Roots hopes to have the new temporary site open later in April.
In the meantime, a group of former and current Common Roots employees will rally together on Friday to raise money for the brewery.
Rally for the Roots South will be held at the Takk House in Troy, beginning at 6:00 pm. The event will include raffle and beer tickets with admission, as well as a DJ, giveaways, and raffle baskets. A portion of sales will go to rebuilding efforts and employee support.
