A “Nite of Comedy” was set up Saturday night to raise money for research of an inoperable brain tumor that took the life of a local child.

For the third year in a row, members of the community gathered at the East Greenbush Fire House on Phillips Road to support Sean Strong, in honor of Sean Jucha.

Sean was an active and athletic 10-year-old who was diagnosed with gliomatosis cerebri and lost his courageous battle three years later.

His family hopes to help others in his honor by raising money for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund, whose sole mission is to conquer childhood cancer.
