The Center for Disease Control and Prevention is warning of a second wave of severe flu cases that’s sweeping the country.

According to the latest weekly report, between October 1st and March 2nd, there were as many as 26.3 million flu illnesses.  However, hospitalization rates are a lot lower than last season.

In New York, flu cases are on the decline, dropping nearly 28 percent as of last week, with the Capitol District reporting just over 600 cases.

New York has been tracking the flu cases by county all season, and you can visit their website here.
