Police are warning people to be on the lookout for a man accused of committing a homicide in Vermont.

Leroy Headley, 36, also has a warrant out for his arrest for sexually assaulting a minor. 

Police say his car was abandoned in Albany and is known to have resided in Jamaica. He has frequently traveled to Brooklyn and Queens. 

Police say he is a danger to whichever community he may be in and may be armed and dangerous. His whereabouts are not known.

During their investigation, police say there are indications that  Headley planned his departure in advance and some person or persons may be helping him remain hidden from law enforcement. It’s also possible that Headley may be living somewhere else using an assumed name.

With the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service, South Burlington Police announced a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to Headley’s arrest.
