Climb aboard a bicycle built for 14, and explore Albany’s Warehouse District. Capital City Cycle Tour launched a route in downtown Albany last week.
The company, which offers bike rides on a 14-rider “brewcycle,” set off on its maiden voyage Friday, June 1 at 6pm. Anthony Ali, co-owner of Capital City Cycle Tour, established the business in Troy in 2014, with a route that included stops at some of the city’s most popular watering holes. The party bike tour quickly became popular activity for groups and special events. The tour expanded to Schenectady and Hudson in 2015, and the company will now add a route in Albany.
The cycle can be booked for special events, tours, and groups. Each trip will include stops at craft beverage producers and bars in the warehouse district. Many will offer drink specials to cycle guests.
The tour will tap into Lost & Found, Druthers Brewing Company, Nine Pin, Vintage, and Stout. Several of the businesses are clustered together, so guests can choose which businesses they visit.
