BGCS celebrates new $13 million facility

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The new $13 million state-of-the-art facility for the Boys and Girls Club of Schenectady is 50% complete.

The facility is located on the border of both the Hamilton Hill and Mont Pleasant neighborhoods.

Upon completion, students will have access to a 4,000-square-foot teen center, several learning labs, a state-of-the-art kitchen, large gymnasium, and theater.

Since construction started back in December, officials are hoping to host a ribbon cutting in the fall.
