Battling cargo loading robots take over RPI

Thirty-six high school teams from New York, Canada, New Jersey, and Brazil came to RPI for the three day 2019 FIRST Robotics competition.  This year, they had six weeks to build their cargo loading robots, test and then bring them to Troy.

After several rounds, lasting two and a half minutes, with a 15-second blind period, the teams move up to the final rounds on Saturday.  This competition is designed to promote STEM fields and get students into the sciences.
