ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Albany police are investigating a Wednesday evening shooting that took place around 6 p.m. in the area of Livingston Avenue and North Swan Street.

When police arrived on the scene, they said they found “evidence consistent with gunshots” and began investigating. They report that shortly after the call reporting shots fired, staff from Albany Memorial Hospital notified them that a 33-year-old man who’d been shot in the hip entered the emergency room.

Police said the man received the gunshot wound as a result of the North Swan Street incident. They said his injuries are non-life-threatening and that their investigation is ongoing. If you or someone you know has any information, contact police at (518) 462-8039.
