An Albany man has been charged with murder in connection with a shooting on North Swan Street in September 2018.

Police say 29-year-old Barry Tyce was shot in the head inside a building on Swan Street between Second and Third Streets. He died at the hospital.

The indictment against 38-year-old Daytwan Perkins was unsealed Wednesday morning after an Albany County Grand Jury returned charges of second-degree murder and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

Perkins was arraigned in Albany County Supreme Court Wednesday, pleading not guilty. He remains in custody. No new court dates have been scheduled.
