Albany fire chief announces retirement

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) - Long-time Albany Fire Chief Warren Abriel Jr. is retiring.

The City of Albany announced Chief Abriel will retire on July 28. 

He has spent the last 46 years serving with the Albany Fire Department.

In the announcement, Chief Abriel said in January of 2019, he will be reaching the mandatory retirement age required by the state.
