ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Today’s 98.3 TRY Social Dilemma is about weddings. Here’s the email:

Hi Jaime, I have a question about my wedding and I’m hoping you can help. My fiance and I were at a wedding reception recently and as the night went on, I noticed some guests beginning to leave early…. And then with only 30 minutes left in the reception, more people began grabbing their coats and heading out! I felt so bad for the couple. They must have felt like their big day was boring people……I find this to be totally rude. It’s one thing if there’s an emergency but super tacky if you’re simply rushing to get home. We will soon be sending out invites to OUR wedding. Can you ask your listeners if they would find it rude if I included a request that guests stay for the entire reception?  We are spending so much time and money on this one day. I want to invite people who truly want to celebrate with us, not just to show up for a meal and leave. Thanks so much

Well, I understand that Darcy wants the party to continue through the end, but people have other commitments in life that they may need to get home to. I don’t think you can “make” people stay at a wedding reception. I hope you have better advice for Darcy than I did. Let me know on the TRY Facebook page.
