22 transgender lives remembered at vigil

The Pittsfield community is gathering for its second Transgender Day of Remembrance.

As many across the world remember trans lives lost due to violence, this one particularly hits close to home.

A respected community activist, Christa Leigh Steele-Knudslien, was the first trans identifying person murdered this year.

The Pittsfield community has gathered to remember Steele-Knudslien, saying her name, and the 21 others who have died since her death.
