The New York State Humane Association is now offering a big reward for information on who left a dead dog under the Oak Street Bridge in Schenectady.
The dog was found back on March 8 with a gunshot wound to the head. According to the NYSHA, the grey pit bull was found with no tags, looked to be three to four-years-old and was wearing a collar with white spikes.
The New York State Humane Association now wants to know who did it, and is offering $1,000 to whoever can help identify them. According to the NYSHA, the person responsible could face a felony charge of aggravated animal cruelty, as well as misdemeanor animal cruelty charges.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Schenectady Police Department at 518-382-5254. All calls will be kept confidential.
