MILTON, N.Y. (NEWS10) – A local community is remembering a Dunkin’ Donuts owner, who was killed in a crash over the weekend.

New York State Police said Jeremiah Burke, 60, was one of two people who died in the one-car crash.

Burke was the owner of several Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in Saratoga County.

On Monday, the field marketing manager released a statement sending prayers to the family.

On behalf of the entire Dunkin’ Brands family, we send our thoughts and prayers to the family of Jerry Burke. Jerry was a highly successful franchisee and entrepreneur, a long term benefactor of the Saratoga community, and a devoted father and grandfather. We are devastated by the news of this tragic event.

A few Dunkin’ Donuts employees said Burke was a very nice man and a good boss.

The crash took place just before 9:30 p.m. Friday on Middleline Road. Along with Burke, 57-year-old William Bischoff was also killed in the crash.

State police have yet to release the names of the two victims until autopsies are completed.
