GLENS FALLS, N.Y (NEWS10)- Glens Falls Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 33 Frederick Street. The fire caused a third alarm to strike with a report of dogs trapped inside of the residence.

Around 7 p.m. on December 14, the Glens Falls fire department and police department responded to a 911 call regarding a fire at 33 Fredrick Street. The city explains the fire department has the 3-alarm fire call under control within 15 minutes and fully extinguished in 30 minutes. Glens Falls reports two residents were displaced by the fire with no injuries. Two dogs got out safely with residents while two cats and two rabbits perished. The city reports the fire was contained to the rear of the structure leaving a kitchen area with some smoke and heat damage. The fire is still under investigation by the Glens Fall police and fire departments.
