Discussion held on tobacco industry ad tactics

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A discussion was held Saturday at the State’s Association of Black and Puerto Rican Legislators Caucus Weekend.

Panelists say for decades the tobacco industry has been targeting youth and minority populations with flavored products, addicting generations of tobacco users.

According to the American Cancer Society “Cancer Action Network,” tobacco use kills more than 20,000 New Yorkers each year.
