ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – If you enjoy riding your bike around the Capital Region, but aren’t great with directions, you’re now in luck!

A new Bike Albany Map app has now officially been unveiled to help cyclists find their way around secondary roads, side streets, and bike-pedestrian paths in Albany.

Assemblyman Patricia Fahy helped secure $8,000 in state grants to fund development of the app, which she says will help riders and the community.

The app only sends cyclists on major roads when necessary to get from one point to another.

Traffic flow is indicated by color coding and “caution” triangles indicate advisories like road closures and accidents.
