Capital Region becoming a hub for video game development

In the last decade, more than 20 video game developers have set up roots in the area.

According to the Center for Economic Growth, there are roughly 400 employees working in the game sector, a six percent growth on a year to year basis.

In Albany, video game designers showed off their talents at RPI’s GameFest 2019 this week. 

Dang!, this year’s winner at GameFest, is currently looking for office space in Troy. They credit the nuturing gaming community in the region as the reason for wanting to keep their company in the area.
