PITTSFIELD, Mass. (NEWS10) — A new K9 memorial was unveiled by the Pittsfield Police Department on Tuesday during a ceremony, recognizing current and former K9 unit members for their service to the community. Pittsfield Chief of Police thanked the officers and community for helping make the memorial a reality.

The memorial stands outside of police headquarters. Current K9 unit members were honored, as well as the department’s comfort dog.
