Albany Police Department swears in 21 new officers

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – The city of Albany Police Department added 21 new police officers to the team on Friday morning.

At a ceremony at Albany City Hall, a crowd gather to watch Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan and Albany Police Chief Eric Hawkins swear-in the newly hired police officers.

The next step for these new recruits? They head to the police academy next week for training.
