ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – More students are facing consequences after the brawl at Albany High School last week.

At a board of education meeting Thursday night, the superintendent announced that 33 students are now facing suspension for their involvement in the fight and the district is still investigating the brawl; according to the Times Union.

The chaotic fight erupted last Thursday and the school was shut down a week ago today as the district began the investigation.

Albany Police have charged a 15-year-old male student with felony falsely reporting an incident for pulling the fire alarm during the outbreak. Ten others were arrested, six being charged as juveniles and four as adults.

Students are learning the hard way that surveillance cameras and cell phones are always rolling. Video evidence made it possible to identify these students and make them pay the consequence.

The district is definitely taking this seriously, in an effort to show this kind of behavior is not welcome at Albany High School.
