ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A spokesperson for the Albany Police Department said Deysi Rivero, 12, and Tomiko Akbar, 11, both of Albany, have been found. “They’re safe, in good health, and will be reunited with their families,” the spokesperson said.

The two girls went missing at about 5 p.m. Wednesday. They left an after-school program together, police said, and vanished.

An investigation into their disappearance is ongoing. Anyone with information that could help investigators is asked to call the Albany Police Detective Division at (518) 462-8039.
