Advisory for hikers in Adirondacks north of 2,500 feet

ADIRONDACKS, N.Y. (NEWS10) – If you are planning to hit the trails soon there is an advisory for you.

The Department of Environmental Conservation is urging hikers to keep off trails in the Adirondacks that are above 25-hundred feet, until they dry up.

They say those trails are still covered in snow and ice, making the trails slippery and vulnerable to erosion by hikers.
