50 Over 50: Mark Quandt

Mark Quandt is Executive Director of the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York. The Food Bank began in 1982 and Mark was one of the first few staff members.  Mark’s work is dedicated to alleviating hunger, but at the same time, preventing the waste of good food. The core of food banking involves collecting donations and then distributing it to food pantries, soup kitchens, homeless shelters, and many other types of agencies that are feeding people in need.
