Tamara Starr comes to NEWS10 after spending over 15 years as a Content Producer and Reporter for outlets such as Patch, NBC Boston/New England Cable News, and The Boston Globe. She is happy to be back in her home state to report on stories that matter across the Capital District.
Tamara graduated with her B.A. in Political Science from Binghamton University in 2008 and her M.A. in Broadcast Journalism from Emerson College in 2011. During those years, she invested her time in reporting healthcare-related matters, such as accessibility issues and the lack of patient access to prescription coupons in Massachusetts.
Before graduating, she was able to intern at several assignments desks at ABC7 Eyewitness News in NYC, WICZ Fox 40 in Binghamton, New England Cable News, and she was a News Director for WSIA 88.9FM, a student radio station for the College of Staten Island.
When she is not reporting, you can find her at any concert or music festival. She is also a huge Marvel Comic fan and loves to spend time with her husband, three children, their black cat VanGogh, and Shorkie Sophie. If you have any story ideas or tips- feel free to email her at tstarr@news10.com.
