
Skylar joined News10 ABC as a Reporter in June 2022. She returns home to the Capital Region after a year in the Mountain State as the Weekend Anchor/Producer and Reporter for WVNS in Beckley, West Virginia. There, she reported extensively on state politics, the redistricting process, and the opioid epidemic.
Skylar graduated from the Roy H. Park School of Communications at Ithaca College in May 2021 with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism. As a Park Scholar, Skylar built her foundations on the intersection of community service and communications.
Prior to graduating, she interned for CBS News in Los Angeles, California and WNYT. She was an Anchor, Executive Producer, and Reporter for ICTV where she won multiple awards for radio and television with the New York State Broadcasters Association and the Society of Professional Journalists Region 1 Mark of Excellence Award for Online In-Depth Reporting.
