Peter Eliopoulos

Peter joined the News 10 team as a reporter in October 2018. He comes to the Capital Region from Beaumont Texas where he was a reporter for KFDM News. In Texas Peter covered Hurricane Harvey, the election of the first African American female sheriff in state history, and the murder of a 19-year-old pregnant mother with an unclear motive.

Peter is no stranger to the Northeast and its unforgiving winters. He is a native of Ipswich, Massachusetts, and also a diehard Boston sports fan. Peter knew he wanted to be in news from when he was in elementary school. A meteorologist for a local station in Boston visited the school, and talked about both weather, and news. From then, it was his goal to become a reporter.

Peter earned a degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Maryland and graduated in 2016. Throughout college, Peter held internships at The Fox News Channel Washington D.C. bureau, WJLA in Washington D.C. and WHDH in Boston.

In his spare time, Peter enjoys hanging out with friends and family at the beach, on the boat, or pretty much anywhere outdoors. In the winter, Peter enjoys skiing and snowboarding all the mountains New England and New York has to offer.

If you see Peter around at the gym, grocery store, coffee shop or the local watering hole, feel free to say hi and share your story! Also, don’t hesitate to email or tweet him at peliopoulos@news10.com or @PeterEliopoulos on Twitter.
