We have the cold…now all eyes on the Weekend Storm.
It was definitely a much colder day today…in fact this morning it dropped to 9 Below at Long Lake.
Before I forget…snowfall up in the Tug Hill so Far…Redfield 44"…and Constableville 44"…these areas may pick up another foot tonight.
A cold front drops through on Friday with a few scattered snow showers…..Winds pick up and another shot of cold air in the afternoon and at night.
A storm east of the Rockies right moves east into the Ohio Valley…..Clouds increase here Friday night. This storm weakens Saturday with a redevelopment near the SE coast. Flurries could break out Sat. morning with a steadier light snow in the afternoon. Only about an inch by evening.
This second storm tracks up south of Cape cod Sunday Morning….so the snow picks up for much of Saturday night.
Right now it looks like widespread 4"-8" of snow…with higher amounts possible in the hill towns…Catskills, High Elevations of the Berkshires and Southern Vermont.
TONIGHT: Clouding up…Flurries after midnight….Lows 10-15, single digits outlying areas…Zero Adirondacks.
FRIDAY: M.cloudy, scattered snow showers til noon….some late afternoon sun, windy and cold…Highs 20-25…Winds NW 15-25mph
SATURDAY: cloudy./Cold…Flurries possible in the morning….Light snow dev in the aftrernoon….an inch by 6pm…Highs 16-21
SAT NIGHT/SUNDAY Morning….A steadier and heavier snow likely.
