Here's the Latest Stormtracker Forecast from Meteorologist Steve Caporizzo
The Cold is moving in…but will the storm for the weekend ?
A Secondary cold front is moving through this evening with scattered snow showers and some heavier squalls. Be careful on the roadways…much of this activity should be ending later this evening.
(By the way, right now up to 3 feet of snow has fallen in the Tug Hill north of Utica !)
On Thursday….Cold air covers the region…temps will hold in the low to mid 20s locally and the low teens for the Adirondacks. Once again Lake Effect may start back up again in the Western Adirondacks.
An Arctic cold front settles south on Sunday and drops just to our south…this will be the focus for some flurries and snow showers…then our attention shifts to the potential storm.
The Newest data is trending faster and weaker with the storm. It still looks like some light snow and flurries break out around mid day Saturday……periods of snow will likely continue through Sunday Morning. The trends would indicate not as much snow. Will keep you posted.
