Here is the latest Storm Tracker Forecast from Meteorologists Mike Bennett and Steve Caporizzo
A downright nasty start to the weekend...
=====================
Good Friday evening, even though it wasn't a good day. Our high occurred at midnight, with temperatures dropping throughout the day into the 40s! Our average high this time of the year is in the low 70s so we're running about 25 degrees below average this afternoon! For tonight, temperatures will continue to drop to near 40, with mid 30s in the Adirondacks. Our coastal low will begin to get going overnight, which means that the periods of rain should continue as well. But with temperatures at or even below freezing at the higher elevations, some snow will mix in and could even stick above 3000 ft!
As the coastal low wraps up the moisture around it, we will continue to see showers on Satuday. In addition, it will be quite windy and temperatures will have a tough time climbing out of the upper 40s. In fact, we're currently forecasting a high in Albany of 49 degrees, which would be 2 degrees cooler than the record lowest high temperatures for the day!
By Sunday, the nor'easter will finally begin to accelerate out of the region. Showers should wrap up in the morning, and we could see some limited sunshine in the afternoon. And temperatures will be a little warmer as well, with highs expected in the mid-to-upper 50s. And this all leads up to Memorial Day itself...right now it looks like we'll see abundant sunshine and milder temps, with highs in the mid-to-upper 60s.
Have a great night!
