TROY, N.Y. - Family and friends are holding a vigil for the Albany man who died at Poestenkill Gorge in Troy last week.
Jean Albert Francillon, 27, drowned after losing his footing and falling into the gorge on August 25. The man was hiking with his girlfriend when the incident happened. Police say the woman then drove to a garage to call police for help.
An autopsy report found the manner of death to be accidental death by drowning.
The couple entered the gorge through an area marked with no-trespassing signs.
Family members say they plan to gather at the gorge on Tuesday at 6 p.m. to celebrate and remember his life.
