SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. -- It's not just the racing that makes Travers Day a big draw at Saratoga. There's also the unique style of the spa.
It's not uncommon to take a stroll through the Saratoga Race Course and see the intricate dresses, the large hats, and colorful pants.
For some, their style is almost as big as their bets.
News 10 ABC caught up with a couple of track regulars, who decided to give the whole "dressing up thing" a try for the first time this weekend.
"We love coming up to see the horses. They're absolutely spectacular. We come up just to see the culture, the people, and the hats of course,” said Erika Anderson of Malta.
The hats at the Race Course are always turning heads. So much so, that NYRA kicks off every meet with a contest to find the most unique ones at the track.
