BRUNSWICK, N.Y. – A Troy woman was arrested for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated.
State Police stopped Shantaya Williams' vehicle Saturday morning on Oakwood Avenue in Brunswick for a traffic infraction. Police said they detected alcohol while interviewing her.
Williams' two, young children were in the vehicle, according to police. Williams failed a field sobriety test, and the 27-year-old was transported to the Brunswick barracks and processed.
Williams' Blood Alcohol Content was .12 percent. She was charged with Aggravated DWI due to the children being under 15-years-old, police said.
Williams was arraigned in Brunswick Court and remanded to the Rensselaer County Jail. She is scheduled back in court at a later date.
