GLOVERSVILLE, N.Y. - A juvenile has been questioned after Gloversville Police responded to a report that turned out to be a prank.
According to authorities, on Tuesday shortly after 11 a.m., officers responded to 47 Park Street for a report from an occupant in the residence stated that a subject just entered the home with an AK47.
Upon arrival, officers set up a perimeter in the area until additional personnel responded to the scene. During this time, police say they discovered the report was a result of a juvenile playing a prank on their parent.
The juvenile was identified and brought to the station for further interview.
Gloversville Police are thanking area residents who complied with police detectives during the response.
The family of the juvenile apologizes for the inconvenience.
