NORTH GREENBUSH, N.Y. - A former principal accused of buying degrees online and falsifying his teaching credentials is expected in court.
Herman McLean, 36, is expected back in court on Tuesday.
McLean was principal of Vanderheyden Hall for several months, until school officials noticed discrepancies in his paperwork. McLean was arrested in July.
He was employed as a math teacher at the school in June 2013 before he was hired as a provisional principal on January 1, 2014. He held the position for approximately four months, before school officials held their standard yearly check.
McLean has pleaded not guilty to forgery and criminal impersonation charges.
