Arrest made in Halfmoon restaurant burglary

 HALFMOON, N.Y. – The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office have arrested a man for burglarizing a restaurant over the weekend.

According to authorities, Brett Goforth, 50, was arrested on Monday after an investigation into a July 9 burglary at Snyder’s Restaurant. 

It is alleged that Goforth forced entry to the restaurant on the morning of July 9. Police say Goforth had the intent to steal cash from the business.

The Sheriff’s Office says held from the media and the public helped to identify the defendant.  

Goforth has been charged with burglary in the third and criminal mischief in the fourth. He has been arraigned and ordered held without bail in the Saratoga County Jail.
