QUEENSBURY, N.Y. – A Fort Edward man was arrested after alleged victim recognized him from a previous arrest report.
Around 8 a.m. on July 28, a resident of a home on Beacon Hollow Way in Queensbury was awakened to unusual noises coming from the first floor of his home. Upon investigation, the homeowner confronted 21-year-old Gary Wells.
Police said the homeowner asked Wells as to why he was in the residence, but Wells could not give a plausible explanation.
Wells left the home and drove off, police said.
The homeowner did not immediately report the incident to law enforcement until Friday after reading a newspaper article that described a recent, similar arrest of Wells, police said.
Wells was arraigned in Queensbury Town Court and sent to the Warren County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond. He is due to re-appear in Queensbury Court on August 4.
Anyone who had a similar encounter with Wells is asked to contact police.
