ALBANY, N.Y. - An Albany man has been sentenced to seven years in State Prison.
Robert Tarver, 21, was sentenced Tuesday morning. On May 29, Tarver pleaded guilty to an indictment accusing him of one count of burglary in the second degree, a violent felony.
On June 5, 2013, Tarver unlawfully entered a residence on Franklin Street by throwing a rock through a rear window and reaching in to unlock a rear door. While inside, Tarver did steal a laptop, video game system, and a pair of sneakers. A fingerprint was recovered at the scene by members of the Albany Police Forensic Investigations Unit, which returned a positive hit, matching Tarver's fingerprints that were already on file.
