SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - Police have arrested a man in connection to a stabbing and fire that happened on Monday in the Electric City.
According to Schenectady Police, Everett Campbell, 50 was arrested on several charges after the Michigan Avenue incident.
Police say that during a domestic incident at the home, Campbell struck a female victim in the head with a dangerous instrument. Campbell then allegedly set fire to the home, which was occupied by the victim and her 11-year-old son.
Campbell was taken into custody shortly after the incident. He has been charged with second degree arson and first degree assault, both felonies. He is also charged with misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child. He is currently awaiting arraignment.
